FAQ

Everything roofers ask us,
answered straight.

Getting started

How long does it actually take to get running?

Ten business days from signature to full rollout for most companies. Day one we ride along on two inspections. Days two through four we connect your CRM, phones, calendar, and supplier pricing. Days five through eight we pilot one estimator and one install crew. Days nine and ten we train everyone, in English and Spanish, forty minutes each.

Do my guys have to learn software?

Barely. The estimator taps one button when he gets out of the truck. The crew holds up a phone and talks. That is the training. The people who genuinely learn something new are in the office, and it takes about forty minutes.

What if my team hates it?

That is what the one-crew pilot is for. If the estimator and the foreman in the pilot don't want to keep using it, you have found that out in week one for very little money. And the 90-day out means you can cancel and get the platform fee back.

Can we start with just one module?

The smallest plan is Crew, which bundles Notes, Bridge, and CRM. We don't sell Notes entirely on its own, because most of its value comes from writing into the CRM and the proposal.

How the AI works

Is the AI making up damage or measurements?

No. Rowlty Notes only records what was actually said and photographed — it does not infer findings. Rowlty Measure works from aerial imagery and returns a confidence score on every facet; anything below threshold is flagged for a human, and complex or commercial roofs route to a human reviewer by default. Nothing reaches a homeowner or a carrier without a person approving it.

How accurate is the translation, really?

Good enough for jobsite work, and we've trained roofing vocabulary into it specifically so terms like ice and water shield, counterflashing, and drip edge survive the trip. It is not a substitute for a certified interpreter in a legal or medical setting, and we say so in the product. For contract signing we still recommend a human.

What happens when it gets something wrong?

Every draft is editable and every transcript is reviewable against the original audio. Corrections your team makes feed back into your company's own glossary, so the same mistake gets rarer. Nothing auto-sends unless you switch that on deliberately.

Does it work with no cell signal?

Yes. Notes records offline and syncs when the truck gets signal. Bridge has an offline mode for the most common language pairs. Attics, metal buildings, and rural counties were part of the design brief, not an afterthought.

Privacy and recording

Are you recording homeowners without telling them?

No. Rowlty announces recording out loud at the start, logs the consent, and has a two-party-consent mode for the states that require it. You set retention, and you can permanently delete any recording. See our security and data page for the full detail.

Do you train your AI on our job data?

No. We do not train shared models on your job records, recordings, transcripts, or customer information. Your corrections improve your own company's glossary only.

Who can see the recordings inside our company?

Whoever you say. Role-based permissions let you restrict recordings and transcripts to the rep, their manager, and admins, or open them more widely. Every access is logged, and Pro and Enterprise can export the audit log.

Integrations and data

Do we have to replace our CRM?

No. Rowlty reads from and writes into JobNimbus, AccuLynx, Roofr, ServiceTitan, Salesforce, and HubSpot. Rowlty CRM is included if you'd rather consolidate, but plenty of customers never turn it on.

Will it work with CompanyCam and EagleView?

Yes, both, on every plan. Photos flow in and get tagged automatically; EagleView reports can be used in place of Rowlty Measure if you already have a contract.

Can we get our data out?

Any time, in standard formats — jobs, contacts, photos, recordings, transcripts, documents. No exit fee and no waiting period. We'd rather you stay because it works.

Do you connect to our supplier pricing?

SRS, ABC, and Beacon accounts connect on Pro and Enterprise, or you can upload your own price book. Takeoffs price against what you actually pay, not a national average.

Pricing and contracts

Do field crew members need a paid seat?

No. Bridge runs on a shared jobsite phone or tablet without consuming a seat. You pay for people who log in.

Is there a long-term contract?

Monthly plans are month-to-month. Annual saves two months. Enterprise is usually annual and we'll explain exactly why rather than burying it in a PDF.

What happens during storm season when we double in size?

Add seats the day you need them, drop them when the surge ends, prorated to the day. Seat pricing was designed around this because storm work is most of our customers' year.

Do you take a percentage of revenue or charge per job?

No, and we won't. A platform fee plus seats, printed on the pricing page.

What if we go over the included minutes?

Nothing shuts off. Overage bills at the published rate and we email you at eighty percent. If you're over consistently we'll move you to the plan that costs you less.

Support

Who answers when something breaks?

A person in Charleston. Pro and Enterprise include phone support; Enterprise is 24/7 with an SLA. The number is (843) 284-8239.

Is support available in Spanish?

Yes — support, training materials, and the product interface itself.

What is the uptime commitment?

99.5% on Pro, 99.9% with service credits on Enterprise. Status and incident history are published.

Do you help during a storm event?

Yes. We staff up around named storms in our customers' markets, and Enterprise customers get a direct line to their success manager. Storm week is when this software either earns its keep or doesn't.

Still have a question?

Susan Drake, VP of Sales, would rather answer it in five minutes on the phone than have you guess from a website.
